HANRO
Tradition Combined with Technical Innovation
HANRO – More than just a Brand
From Marilyn Monroe to Nicole Kidman
In the unforgettable Hollywood comedy "The Seven Year Itch", Marylin Monroe wore HANRO underwear under her white dress. That was in 1955. In 1999, Nicole Kidman made the spaghetti top a style icon with Eyes Wide Shut. HANRO thus coined a new, puristic, wellness-inspired aesthetic. Today, HANRO stands for "understated luxury", natural elegance and wearing comfort. Tradition combined with technical innovation and timeless design make the brand unmistakable.
Quality Above All
Attention to Detail
HANRO underwear is characterized by first-class quality, high-quality craftsmanship and great attention to detail: starting with the noble materials, through the perfect design, to the careful processing. Valuable natural fibers are processed with the most modern knitting technologies such as hemless and seamless processing and soft mercerization. In combination with exclusive French lace or Swiss embroidery, unique, timelessly elegant lingerie is created.
From Switzerland to the World
Tradition Meets Innovation
In the beginning there was a small knitting factory, founded in 1884 in Liestal (Switzerland). The HANRO brand was registered in 1913 – a word created from the names of the founders Albert HANdschin and Carl ROnus. They rely on their own patented circular knitting technology, which guarantees a perfect fit and comfort. In the 1950s and 1960s, Hanro established her reputation with women of the world with elegant night dresses and gowns. Hanro has been part of the Austrian Huber Tricot since 1991. Production is consistently only in Europe.
