Long-staple Cotton
mey uses yarns made from long-staple cotton for the products whenever possible. By using these fibers (with at least 40 mm length per fiber), a more stable, softer yarn with less pilling is created – a quality you can feel.
S Yarns & Z Yarns
By using differently twisted yarns, garments are created that remain in shape even after frequent washing. If only one type of yarn is used, this can lead to shifted side seams after washing the product.
Shrinkage Protection
The mey nozzle crimping system treats the fabric strips similarly to a normal dryer, just on a larger scale. The fabric strip loses 10% of its possible longitudinal shrinkage before further processing. This ensures that the products remain in shape for the customer.
Dry Equipment
The dry equipment of the mey fabrics in Albstadt, Germany, is carried out through several special processes, which work exclusively with mechanical pressure and hot steam on the fabrics. mey uses no chemical additives for this.
Plating
„Plating“ means that several different materials are processed simultaneously on each side of the fabric. For example, shiny Viscose can be on the outside of the top, elastane in the middle, and soft cotton on the inside.
High Stitch Density
The high stitch density in the mey cross seams ensures very good elasticity. The stitch rows are not skipped, and therefore the seam remains more elastic. The tear resistance and stability of the seam are also increased.
Elastic Band
The mey Men-shorties additionally feature an elastic band at the waistband. This prevents annoying riding up and slipping and ensures a higher wearing comfort, whether in a standing or sitting position.
