It all began with a small knitting factory, founded in 1884 in Liestal (Switzerland). In 1913, the brand HANRO was registered – a word creation from the names of the founders Albert HANdschin and Carl ROnus. They relied on their own patented circular knitting technology, which guaranteed perfect fit and comfort. In the 1950s and 60s, Hanro established its reputation with elegant nightgowns and robes among Women around the world. Since 1991, Hanro has been part of the Austrian Huber Tricot. Production is consistently carried out only in Europe.
